The Club at SFO

When We Visited: February 2026

How We Got In: The Chase Sapphire Reserve Card & The Chase Sapphire Reserve Card for Business, and the American Express Platinum Card, all of which come with the Priority Pass and lounge access.

Overview: This is perhaps one of my favorite lounges, and we’re lucky enough to have it in an airport we fly out of frequently. I think I mostly like it because it is a beautiful lounge, making it just a nice place to be before a flight. Though it is a standard Priority Pass lounge, it has the luxurious feel of some of the more exclusive lounges (like The Centurion and or Sapphire Reserve lounge.)

On our last visit, we spent a few hours at The Club SFO before our flight to the Dominican Republic. We were going on a family trip to celebrate my Mother-In-Law’s 60th birthday. So, on our trip to the lounge we had 7 people with us: J and I, our two kids, both my in laws, and J’s sister. Because of the size of our party, I was a little worried about getting in right away - The Club SFO does often have a wait at busy flight times. On the Priority Pass app, you now have the option of reserving a spot at the lounge before you arrive, but it costs $7 per person for the reservation. Since our flight left at 10:40 pm, I hoped it’d be late enough for the lounge to be slow. And we were lucky enough to walk right in when we got there.

Like all other lounges I’ve experienced, the food here is ok. They have a rotating menu in terms of entrees, but also always have salad and soup. The hot entrees this time were a chicken dish and a tofu dish with rice. The chicken was actually quite good. They also often have snack servings of tortilla chips and dip, which I always like. The dip changes - this time it was a creamy elote dip, which was tasty.

My biggest complaint about The Club SFO is that they don’t seat you, once in the lounge you are responsible for finding your own seat. This can be stressful if you have a large group like we did and frustrating when you see small groups taking up space designed for larger groups. But we were eventually all able to find seats near each other and it was fine. Just know if you have a large party it might take some time for seats to open up so you can all be together.

Tip: This is a great use of your Priority Pass guest benefits. Unlike other lounges, the Priority Pass is one of the remaining lounge passes that give you and 2 guests access to the lounge. Since J and I both hold cards that come with Priority Pass, we were able to get 6 of us in free of charge (my sister in law paid the $35 entry fee to join us.) The guest benefit makes the Club SFO an awesome option for traveling families.

My assessment: It’s a great place to wait for a flight. This lounge has made SFO my preferred airport, and I always make it a priority to arrive early when flying out of SFO so that I can take full advantage of my lounge benefits here.
